Ms. Feng received her BS in Biological Sciences from Beijing University, China in 2004. In 2006, she finished her MA in Plant Biology at the University of Texas at Austin (UT-Austin). Then, she graduated with a MSN in Nursing Education in 2009 from UT-Austin.
Areas of Research, Teaching, And Clinical Expertise and Scholarship
Ms. Feng became a UTMB SON faculty member in 2009. Ms. Feng's clinical expertise is in the area of cardiovascular disease management in geriatric population. Since arriving at UTMB, she has taught adult health I, II, health assessment, and nursing informatics courses in the Undergraduate program. She coordinates the Adult II course in the generic program. Her research interests include health promotion and self-management of chronic disease in vulnerable populations. She was one of the panel members regarding the DEU project in UTMB hospital in Partnership Excellence in Nursing Education – Interprofessional Collaboration Conference. She has had several poster presentations in UTMB Annual Forum on Aging. She also serves as a member of China Long Term Care Facility research team.

Ms. Feng was awarded the Most Inspiring Faculty in the UTMB SON Fourth Annual Nightingale Ball. She was awarded the CNO ADMIRE Award for Innovation in 2013. She became a Certified Nurse Educator by National League for Nursing in 2013. She has been a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing since May 2009.
