 Attention Incoming BSN Students:

As part of the iLead Project, incoming BSN Traditional students will be leased an iPad from UTMB School of Nursing, included in the tuition and fees each semester for the duration of the program. Internet Speed Requirements

A broadband internet connection is required.

A minimum Download and Upload speed of 10 Mbps and 2.5 Mbps respectively is required.

If you are in a household or other location with multiple users sharing an internet connection, it is recommended that you test your connection speed during peak usage times to help ensure that it will meet the necessary requirements.

Microsoft Office 365

Microsoft Office 365 software is provided and supported on Windows, MacOS, iOS, and Android devices.

We do require that all course assignments and files be PC-compatible, ensured by using Microsoft Office.

You must sign in using your UTMB account.

Exam & Proctoring Software Requirements

The technical requirements for software and hardware are subject to change.

For the best compatibility with exam and proctoring software, we strongly recommended that you use a device that will support updating to the next planned Operating System (OS) release.

 Apple users should always run the latest version of MacOS (iMac, Macbook) or iOS (iPhone, iPad) unless specified otherwise.

MacOS version 13 (Ventura) or newer is required for exam software.

iOS/iPadOS version 17 or newer is required on iPhone and iPad devices for exam software.

Google Chromebooks

Google Chromebooks are not compatible with required exam software.

Android Devices

Android phones and tablets are not compatible with required exam software.
