Dr. Carson received his BSN from the University of Colorado in 2012. As a new graduate nurse, he worked in oncology on a stem cell transplant unit. After moving to Texas in 2014 and continuing his career in oncology at MD Anderson, Dr. Carson transferred to UTMB Galveston where he worked in Cardiothoracic Surgery and later the Surgical ICU while completing his MSN at UTMB. In 2018 Dr. Carson completed his degree to become an adult/geriatric primary care nurse practitioner where he worked under the Internal Medicine Geriatric/House Call Division performing house calls to home bound older adults. Dr. Carson completed his DNP at UTMB in 2022 and is currently working as an assistant professor in the undergraduate program in Population Health and Health Assessment courses. Dr. Carson has worked as clinical faculty for Adult III Critical Care and Population Health.
