Application Information: Certificate Programs
We appreciate your interest in our Certificate Programs! The Nurse Educator Certificate and Telehealth Certificate Program starts each Fall semester. The Adult-Gerontology Acute Care NP Post-MSN Certificate Program starts each Spring semester.
The Nurse Educator Certificate and Telehealth Certificate Program application is open for the Fall 2023 semester.
The AGACNP Post-MSN Certificate application is open for the Spring 2024 semester.
To apply to a certificate program, continue to the UTMB Online Application.
Please note that official transcripts must be sent to Enrollment Services.

Admission Requirements
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree from a nationally accredited university/institution
- Current unencumbered license as a Registered Nurse (RN) or multi-state privilege to practice as a RN in the state(s) in which you participate in any clinical learning experiences
- Licensed or authorized to practice as an APRN in the state intended for clinical practice
- Required Documents: the UTMB Online Application, official transcripts, resume, one (1) letter of reference

- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from a nationally accredited university/institution
- Current unencumbered license as an Registered Nurse (RN)

For MSN:
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree from a nationally accredited university/institution
- Current unencumbered license as an Registered Nurse (RN)

- Last 60 hours of coursework GPA 2.75
- Official transcript from bachelor's degree granting institution
