CCNE Reaccreditation Process
Input Opportunity
The University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) School of Nursing will host the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) from October 7-9, 2024 as CCNE conducts its reaccreditation site visit for our baccalaureate, master's, and Doctor of Nursing Practice programs and our post-graduate APRN certificate program.
CCNE is the premier accrediting agency for baccalaureate and graduate degree programs in nursing and is nationally recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education.
In accordance with CCNE's procedures, the commission provides the opportunity for program constituents and other interested parties to submit, in writing, third-party comments concerning a program's qualifications for accreditation. Third-party comments regarding programs hosting evaluations must be received by CCNE by no later than 21 days (September 16, 2024) prior to the first day of the on-site evaluation.
Third-party comments must relate to the CCNE Standards for Accreditation of Baccalaureate and Graduate Nursing Programs (Amended 2018). All third-party comments submitted to CCNE must be written in English, consistent with CCNE's policy on the Conduct of Business in English. All comments submitted to CCNE in a language other than English will not be processed. Comments are shared only with the CCNE evaluation team appointed to review the UTMB nursing programs. Your feedback is valued and appreciated.
Please submit comments to CCNE at thirdpartycomments@ccneaccreditation.org.
