Areas of Research, Teaching, And Clinical Expertise and Scholarship

Dr. Blair is a member of the graduate faculty and teaches across programs from Undergraduate to the PhD and DNP. Areas of expertise include Health Disparities, Correctional Health Care, Health Law, Ethics and Policy, and Legal Advocate for Children and Elder, and Legal Representative for Nurses and Other Health Care Professionals who have alleged violations in their professional practices. Dr. Blair has over 20 years of experience working with nursing students and has mentored students from PhD, DNP, Masters, and Undergraduate programs. She has more than 20 years working with health professionals in correctional health care settings. Research areas include translational science and behavioral approaches to decrease health disparities and increase health literacy across vulnerable populations with a focus on justice-involved persons.
