The UTMB School of Nursing offers three doctoral programs: Doctor of Philosphy, Doctor of Nursing Practice, and Doctor of Nursing Practice Nurse Anesthesia.
The Doctor of Philosphy Program consists of two Pathways: BSN to PhD, and MSN to PhD.
The Doctor of Nursing Practice Program consists of two Pathways: BSN to DNP Nurse Practitioner, and MSN to DNP.
The Doctor of Nursing Practice Nurse Anesthesia Program currently offers a BSN to DNP track.
Doctor of Philosophy Program
Program with a unique focus on health promotion, human response & healing with research emphases in biobehavioral research, vulnerable populations & contemporary pedagogies, giving students the opportunity to investigate nursing from a holistic perspective.
Doctor of Nursing Practice Programs
Our mission is to prepare advanced practice nurse leaders who will participate in the transformation of the health care system. Our emphasis on improving access to quality of care to vulnerable populations & reducing health disparities makes for an exceptional learning experience.
