iLead Return Process

Instructions for returning your leased iPad device and accessories.

Graduating Students

Notification

An email announcement is sent to all graduating students approximately one month prior to completion of the program with detailed instructions on how to schedule a return time and prepare your device for return, including how to transfer student files from the iPad.

IMPORTANT: Devices need to be returned undamaged and in working order. If an iPad or Apple Pencil is damaged it is the students' responsibility to contact the SON Multimedia Lab team for repairs PRIOR to separating from the SON.

Schedule

  1. Access the iPad Return course in Blackboard and sign upfor a time to return your iPad. Note that there are two extra options: One if you are unable to make any of the times/dates, and one if you have already returned your iPad.

Device Return

  1. Please back up any data you want to save, and reset/erase your iPad
  2. On your scheduled date and time, please bring the following to the designated drop off location:
    • iPad
    • Apple Pencil
    • Charging Cable
    • Charging Brick (Apple 20W Adapter)

The drop-off location will be the Multimedia Lab, Room 4.306 in the School of Nursing building located at at 1114 Mechanic St. Galveston, TX 77555.

Other Returns

Students are required to return their devices to the SON Multimedia Lab before going on a Leave of Absence, are being Dismissed, or are Withdrawing from the program. If you are Appealing your dismissal, you are still required to turn in your device before your appeal will be resolved. If you are readmitted into the program following a successful appeal or are returning from a Leave of Absence, you will be able to receive your previously leased device, or a replacement device if your previous device is no longer available.

Schedule Your Return

Device returns are by APPOINTMENT ONLY.

You must notify the Multimedia Lab that you are returning your device and need to schedule a date/time to return your device.

Please indicate in the email the reason why you are returning your iPad:

  • Leave of Absence
  • Appealing a Dismissal
  • Dismissed and not Appealing
  • Withdrawing
  • Other

A member of the Multimedia Lab team will coordinate a date and time for you to drop off your device along with any additional instructions.

Device Return

If any of the devices are lost or damaged, you may be asked to cover the cost of replacement at the time the iPad devices are returned.

Device Pickup

If you are returning from a Leave of Absence or have successfully appealed a dismissal, you are eligible to recieve your iPad device back.

It is your responsibility to notify the Multimedia Lab that you are returning from a leave of absence or have been readmitted into the program and need to pickup your device. Please remember to bring photo identification as we will verify your information at the time of pick-up.

The pick-up location will be the Multimedia Lab, Room 4.306 in the School of Nursing building located at at 1114 Mechanic St. Galveston, TX 77555.

IMPORTANT: If you are returning from a Leave of Absence, please note that depending on the length of your absence you may recieve a different device than the one you previously returned. If you had previously backed up your information to iCloud successfully then you will have the option of restoring your data on a newly issued device.
